Colonel ROBERT W. HEBERT

Col. Robert W. Hebert is the Chief, Recruiting Operations Division, Headquarters Air Force Recruiting Service, Headquarters Air Education and Training Command, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas. He formulates and executes all policies and procedures to direct recruitment efforts for enlisted members and line officers for the Air Force and Space Force. In addition, he provides guidance and support to 2,900 people dispersed over 50 states, Puerto Rico, Europe, and the Pacific Rim.

Colonel Hebert enlisted in the Air Force in 1996 and served as a radar technician before he commissioned through the Air Force Officer Training School in 2002.   He has served in a variety of nuclear, staff, recruiting and command assignments, and has commanded in AFRS at the flight and squadron levels. Colonel Hebert is a graduate of the Air Force’s School of Advanced Air and Space Studies.  His operational experiences include operations Northern Watch and Enduring Freedom. 

Prior to his current assignment, he served as Chief, Capabilities Development Division, Air Force Global Strike Command, where he led the MAJCOM’s development of warfighting capabilities and was the AFGSC lead for arms control treaties, counterproliferation, international affairs, and security cooperation policies.
