ACE Solo Flight Program concludes at historic Tuskegee Airmen airfield
Sarena Thomas-Lowery, looks out at Maxwell Air Force Base's airfield during a tour of the air traffic control tower in Alabama. The tour was hosted for students of the Air Force’s Aviation-Character-Education (A.C.E.) Solo Flight Program. A total of 48 students ages 16-22, consisting of 24 Air Force ROTC cadets, four U.S. Air Force Academy cadets, and 20 high school students participated in the flight program. Over the course of three weeks, they completed a combination of 480 flight hours, with over 37 students soloing the airplane. (Courtesy photo)
