COLONEL JEFFERY S. MCLEMORE

Col. Jeffrey S. McLemore is the is Vice Commander of Air Force Recruiting Service, Headquarters Air Education and Training Command, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas. As Vice Commander, Colonel McLemore is responsible for is responsible for obtaining sufficient numbers of qualified men and women to meet the personnel procurement requirements of today's and tomorrow's highly technological Air Force. The Air Force Recruiting Service comprises more than 2,800 Airmen and civilians and approximately 1,040 recruiting offices across the U.S. and abroad.

Colonel McLemore’s previous assignment was the Chief, Operations Division, Headquarters Air Force Recruiting Service, Headquarters Air Education and Training Command, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas. He formulated and executed all policies and procedures to direct recruitment efforts for enlisted members, line officers, health professions officers, and chaplains; and provided guidance and support to 3,700 people dispersed over 50 states, Puerto Rico, Europe, and the Pacific Rim.

Colonel McLemore earned his commission from Air Force Officer Training Program on June 12, 1994. He has a prior enlisted background in the Army Infantry, as well as being the only current active duty Air Force officer who earned the Command and Control Badge as an Airfield Management Officer. He also wears the Senior Air Traffic Control and Senior Airfield Management Badges. He has held numerous positions at the flight, squadron, wing, major command, and Headquarters Air Staff levels.
