Lieutenant Colonel MOZAMBIQUE L. BATTS

Lt. Col. Mozambique Batts is the Commander, 361st Recruiting Squadron, headquartered at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. He leads 82 personnel responsible for recruiting future Airmen and Guardians to serve in more than 140 Air Force and Space Force specialties. His area of responsibility includes 40 geographically separated offices throughout Alaska, Oregon, and Washington covering 728,000 square miles.

Lt. Col. Batts earned his commission through ROTC at Texas Tech University where he was a Distinguished Graduate. Lt. Col. Batts has been stationed in Alaska, Hawaii, North Carolina, Texas, Germany and Pakistan. He has held various positions including Internal/External training manger, Senior Watch Officer, Flight Commander, J2 Director, Deputy Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Chief and Chief of a Technical Security Team. He is an Air Education and Training Command Master Instructor and a graduate of the British Weapons School.

Lt. Col. Batts has multiple deployments including Joint Force, Inherent Resolve, Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, New Dawn, Gallant Phoenix, Freedom's Sentinel, Resolute Support and Allies Refuge.
