Lieutenant Colonel Jason A. Soto is the Commander, Air Force Reserve 350th Recruiting Squadron, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. He is responsible for the health, morale, and welfare of 89 officer and enlisted members as well as eight civilian personnel whose major role is to annually recruit 2,000 Citizen Airmen. He manages an operations budget of over a half million dollars and oversees nine flights and personnel in 49 locations across 19 states. He develops and implements plans for mission changes, facilities advertising and training, which directly impacts the Air Force Reserve recruiting mission.
Lt. Col. Soto entered the Air Force in December 2002 through ROTC from Angelo State University. He graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in May 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. He is a career intelligence officer with assignments in a variety of leadership positions at the flight, squadron, wing, major command, and Air Force headquarters staff.
