LIEUTENANT COLONEL CHRISTOPHER R. TAYLOR

Lt. Col. Christopher R. Taylor is the Commander, 339th Recruiting Squadron, Clinton Township, Michigan. He directs and operates recruiting activities for 8 enlisted accession flights with 87 active-duty and civilian personnel.  His squadron covers a 59,000 square-mile area that includes the state of Michigan, and portions of northern Ohio and northern Indiana. His unit’s mission is to inspire, engage, and recruit future qualified Airmen and Guardians to deliver air and space power for America.

Lt. Col. Taylor is a 2008 graduate from the Pennsylvania State University, and commissioned through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps.  His career has included assignments at various levels of leadership in base communications, Air and Space Operations Centers, combat comm exchange program, and the Joint Staff.  Additionally, he deployed in support to Operations KIPION and SHADER, Great Britain’s contribution to Operation INHERENT RESOLVE as an exchange officer. 

Prior to his current assignment, Lt. Col. Taylor led planning efforts to integrate cyberspace capabilities into global space plans and operations, and managed the tasking, synchronization, & integration of cyberspace activities for 11 combatant commands, and support to deployed forces, via inputs into the combined space tasking order for 79 tactically controlled units.
