Major JESSICA A. BOETTCHER

Maj. Jessica Boettcher is the Commander of the 353rd Recruiting Squadron, Air Force Reserve Command, March Air Reserve Base, California. She commands a squadron consisting of 103 personnel to annually recruit 2,400 Citizen Airmen. She is responsible for an operations budget of $500,000, 64 government vehicles, and 22 offices geographically separated across three countries, one U.S. Territory and 17 States. Additionally, Maj. Boettcher advises the 4th Air Force Commander, 21 Wing commanders and the 367th Recruiting Group Commander regarding recruiter production issues, trends, and barriers. She leads solution-oriented and innovative Airmen to inspire, engage, and recruit future Air Force Reservists. 
 
Maj. Boettcher joined the United States Marine Corps in January 2001 and completed boot camp at Parris Island, South Carolina. In 2005, Maj. Boettcher was released from the Marine Corps but enlisted in the Air Force Reserve to continue her military service. Maj. Boettcher was commissioned a second lieutenant after completing Officer Training School at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama in 2010.
 
Maj. Boettcher has served in numerous Air Force enlisted and officer accession programs within Air Education and Training Command, along with Air Force Recruiting Service. Prior to assuming her current position, Maj. Boettcher served as the Director of Wing Inspections for the 932nd Air Wing, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. In this capacity, she was responsible for the wing inspection activities and assisting in the development and execution of installation exercises.
