Avionics Airman returns to EAA AirVenture to inspire next generation
Staff. Sgt. Lydia Whitney, an F-16 Avionics Craftsman with the 756th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Luke Air Force Base, Arizona, hosted an interactive military flight presentation for aspiring young aviators at the Experimental Aircraft Association’s GirlVenture Camp on July 26, 2021, during the EEA AirVenture airshow in OshKosh, Wisconsin. She supported the Air Force recruiting mission by participating in the We Are All Recruiters program to mentor the youth at the camp where she was first inspired to start a career in aviation. Airmen who are interested in using permissive temporary duty status to tell their unique story to the next generation can learn more about WEAR at www.recruiting.af.mil/WEAR.
