317th RCS recruiter steps up in rank

Third from right, then Staff Sgt. Brian Dobbs, shows off his new technical sergeant stripes that were presented to him during a recruiting event in Leesburg, Virginia, Nov. 4, 2022. More than 750 high school and college students interested in aviation careers from five different states around the area were in attendance who got to witness the surprise presentation. Lt. Col. Eric Saunders, 317th RCS commander, called Dobbs on to the stage during the event and announced the rank he was wearing was incorrect because he had been selected for promotion via Stripes For Exceptional Performers program. Dobbs’ award package was pitted against several other packages in a competitive board.
