COLONEL JASON C. HANEY

Colonel Jason Haney is the Chief of Plans and Resources Division (RSX), Headquarters Air Force Recruiting Service.  His team develops and implements policies and procedures to direct assignments and personnel actions for more than 2,890 Active Duty and Civilian personnel assigned to AFRS worldwide; including the headquarters, three active-duty recruiting groups and 28 recruiting squadrons dispersed across our 50 states, the Caribbean, European Theater and the Pacific Rim.  He develops strategic plans consistent with the AFRS Commander’s vision, Air Force and Air Education and Training Command doctrine. Colonel Haney also manages AFRS’s future programmed funding and inputs, oversees worldwide AFRS anit-terrorism and force protection efforts, and directs all logistical and real estate functions for approximately 1,030 recruiting offices and over 1,900 government vehicles.

Colonel Haney received his commission from the Reserve Officer Training Corps at Florida State University in 2002.  Upon commissioning, he completed Undergraduate Navigator Training at Randolph AFB, Texas.  Over the course of 21 years of active-duty military service, Colonel Haney was stationed in Georgia, Texas, Florida and Louisiana.  At those duty locations, he held various positions in combat flying operations as well as Undergraduate Flying Training Instructor, Numbered Air Force Executive Officer and Expeditionary Commander.  He is a master navigator with more than 1,000 combat hours, and over 875 instructor/evaluator hours in the T-43A, T-1A and E-8C.

Colonel Haney’s operational flying experience includes missions supporting operations ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM. Prior to his current assignment as RSX Division Chief, he served as Deputy Commander of the 372nd Recruiting Group, after Commanding the 368th Recruiting Squadron, both located at Hill AFB, Utah.
