Colonel SHAUNTE Y. COOPER

Col. Shaunte Y. Cooper is the Air National Guard Advisor to the Air Force Recruiting Service Commander, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas. She is responsible for directing the integrated ANG staff within Air Force Recruiting Service. She represents the Air National Guard on recruiting issues and is the primary point of contact for ANG manpower and personnel actions.

 

Colonel Cooper joined the Texas Army National Guard in 1989 and attended Army Basic Training at Fort Dix, New Jersey. Her first assignment was with the 372nd Support Battalion in Texarkana, Texas. In 1992, she transferred to the Texas Air National Guard and was assigned to the 136th Airlift Wing located at Hensley Field in Dallas, Texas. She was commissioned through the Academy of Military Science in 1994. She has served as an executive officer, public affairs officer, protocol officer, and has commanded at the squadron and group levels. After 9/11, Colonel Cooper participated in missions for Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM.
