Lieutenant Colonel JARED J. SPEER

Lieutenant Colonel Jared J. Speer is Commander, 319th Recruiting Squadron at Hanscom AFB, Massachusetts. He is responsible for all Air Force and Space Force recruiting activities within Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Europe, and Africa. He partners with military, civic, educational, and community organizations to generate awareness of Air Force and Space Force recruiting programs and develops public support of the Air Force and Space Force.

Lieutenant Colonel Speer was most recently assigned to Vandenberg Air Force Base, California where he served as the Division Chief of Plans, Policy, and Strategy Division in the Combined Force Space Component Command. He led the development of deliberate and contingency Joint plans to achieve national and theater objectives.

His previous assignments have spanned operations, acquisitions, training and education, and staff assignments in space surveillance, missile warning, spacelift, Special Technical Operations, and Air Force Institute of Technology.  In addition, Lieutenant Colonel Speer deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation FREEDOM’S SENTINEL as a Foreign Military Sales Officer where he procured weapons and ammunition for the Afghan National Army and Afghan National Police.

He was commissioned through ROTC at Arizona State University.
