Lieutenant Colonel ERIC C. BLATTNER

Lt Col Eric C. Blattner is the Commander, 314th Recruiting Squadron, Burlington, New Jersey. The 314th RCS comprises 63 recruiting and 21 support personnel who recruit men and women throughout New Jersey and Delaware, as well as sections of Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia. Its mission is to inspire, engage and recruit today's brightest talent to serve in our Air Force and Space Force as the next generation of Airmen and Guardians.
Lt Col Blattner entered the Air Force in 2006 after earning his commission through the Officer Training School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering in 2004 from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, and a Master’s degree in Military Operational Art and Science in 2014 from Air University, Maxwell Air Force Base (AFB), Alabama. Lt Col Blattner is a career acquisition officer who has executed a wide-range of force modernization missions and has served in joint positions at US Central Command and the Missile Defense Agency. He is a published author and a prior Afghanistan-Pakistan Hand with multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.  
Prior to his current position, the Lt Col was the Director, C2BMC Warfighter Support, Missile Defense Agency, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.  As the Director, he led a team of 34 government civilian and contractor personnel responsible for combatant command integration, training, and exercises in support of global operations and sustainment of the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) system; the Department of Defense’s primary global missile defense C2 system.
