364th RCS DEP member continues family tradition

On November 23, 2023, Karissa went to the MEPS in Sacramento, CA, completed her process and swore in as the newest member of the Delayed Entrance program. She quickly reserved a job as Medical Material and a departure date of February 14, 2023. Karissa waited in anticipation and continued to prepare for Basic Military Training. On February 14, 2023 as scheduled, she swore in into Air Force active Duty. Michael and Adrianna proudly witnessed her ceremony as it was being conducted by Adrianna's Commander Lt. Col Celaya, of the 364th Recruiting Squadron out of Sacramento. The ceremony was like many others Michael and Adrianna witnessed in their own careers, but this one was so different. This was their baby girl, committing to serve the Greatest Nation, the Greatest Air Force in the World. Karissa joined the Air Force ranks and is continuing the Hernandez legacy. There are still four other siblings, that maybe will now follow in Karissa's footsteps.
